Review: NYX Eyeshadow Trio TS43 Guru Swatches

My first try on NYX Eyeshadow Trio. Received it from Colours Cosmetics Malaysia for free in a Giveaway!

Glamorous Eye Makeup - Net WT. 0.152oz (4.6g

Each trio pack includes a dual-ended sponge applicator and mirror for on-the-go touch-ups.

It contains three shimmery brownish gold undertone colors. From left: the lightest gold, the middle is more of a brown gold, the right is a coppery gold. All are warm colors and very sparkly and pigmented. It's my all time favorite now as if you know me, I seldom put black liners, only brown. So brown shadows are always my first choice.

Mica, Talc, Zinc Stearate, Mineral Oil, 2-Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Tridecyl Trimellitate, BHT, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Pigment.

See how pigmented and smooth they are! Just love this Goddess combination!

Pros:

- They are very pigmented i mean Very and blend very well. 

- Great for everyday wear, especially to work, just to brighten up the eyes.

- Great pigment. Smooth texture

- You'll like it if you're a brownish gold shadow lover like me! ^^

Cons: 

- The middle color and left one are very similar. It would be better if the trio has 3 different brownish gold color. hehe

Before hand, I'd like to do a simple introduction on how I met with CCM last year. I got to know them when I was searching for elf, NYX, Sigma stuffs over the internet. Basically, they are carrying brands like: NYX, Sigma Beauty, Wet N Wild, and their house brand Colours Cosmetics. Res assured that they are also an authorized Sigma reseller and a wholesaler in Malaysia.


Lately they just launched their brand of Flat Kabuki, stated to be as same useful as Sigma F80 and I can't wait to try it out as I still think Sigma F80 is pricey.

Review: elf Bronzer

elf Bronzer in Tan (23123) is described as a silky powder that creates a sun-kissed glow on any complexion for any season. It builds your color easily for the perfect amount of radiance desired. Its long-lasting formula blends into the skin evenly for a streak-free finish.

 

A sheer golden brown shade that has a noticeable sheen to it. It leaves a lovely golden glow to the cheeks and the subtle gold shimmer in it gives you a healthy lit from within glow.

When I first received it and do the first swatch, I was a bit disappointed as the powder not seems to be very fine as you can see from the above picture. And once I dab with my brush, I get a lot of the product on it which may caused overly bronzed on my face. But it isn't if you keep on reading.

 I found that it has little similarity with my Mac Skin Finishing but Mac one seems to be more sheer compare to this. This one has a more to matte buttery texture that blends beautifully into my cheeks.

 BUT, next I found that eventhough I got too much bronzing powder on face, it can be easily spread away nicely. Means I can contour it very well. ^^

 

How to use: Using the brush, sweep bronzer onto areas the sun naturally touches-cheeks, forehead, nose and chin. Apply to the neck to balance color between the face and body when needed. 

Pros:

- It gives me a pretty glow and warms my face right up.

- No big glitter chunks, just luminous and enough to give your face a natural glow.

Cons: 

- Maybe I have used to a big round pot packaging as my bronzing brush is quite fluffy, I found the square packaging isn't so convenient for me.

- It isn't as lasting as my Mac Skin Finishing

I got it very cheap price in Lowyat Forum, her name is dafengXX if you wonder. She actually has Facebook too. She is selling drugstore cosmetics from US/ overseas which are mostly natural, organic or vegan and hardly can be found in Malaysia. Add her Elly Stylista up to grab more awesomeness!

Need Advice: Olay Pro-X Facial Cleansing System VS Acetino Professional Sonic Skin Care System With Microdermabrasion Brush

Hello peeps! I need your advice here please! I am at the moment comparing a few Cleansing Skin Cleansing Systems just like Clarisonic one. But this cutie is selling at RM8xx at Sephora, which is way super expensive for me. I never thought I'd spend that amount of money to buy a cleansing tool.
So I did some research for these two brands and here I compiled the information below.

Acetino Professional Sonic Skin Care System With Microdermabrasion Brush

 Here is the Acetino brand that I found selling at Lowyat Forum. It caught my eyes as it comes in 4 interchangeable brush heads designed for exfoliating, cleansing, toning and hydration. But you know many brands that tend to exaggerate with the features so I am not sure how useful it is.
Note: I read someone commented that this one isn't in rotating movement, but it's kind of vibration which the seller never mentioned. (rotation or vibration is better?)

As I am getting older now, no longer 18 years old (LOL) I found that I skin is saggy and Cleansing System actually helps in lifting our skin while cleansing compare to we wash our face with hands.

Acetino Professional VS Olay Pro X

Next one will be Olay Pro X Cleansing System. It claimed that it is an alternative of Clarisonic one, I found it on ebay. Seller will ship from Singapore and need to pay via Paypal which is not the most convenient payment method for me.
It says that it is 6 times better result. Helps maximize the immediate hydrating effectiveness of your anti-aging moisturizer. Professionally designed with 2-speed, rotating system, soft bristle brush head and it comes with Olay Cleanser and two AA batteries.

Olay Pro-X Facial Cleansing System

This product was featured twice in my favorite Taiwanese Beauty Channel （女人我最大）which convinced me a lot too. Review1 and Review2 by them. Also personally recommended by the famous Taiwan Brauty DIY Guru Niu Er here.

So how?! LOL
I really can't decide which to purchase. Look at the comparison chart, Acetino is making Olay like the lousiest cleansing system among all??? No way I can't believe it!
Acetino seems not that favorite, I can't even find a review from blogger but it looks professional with more interchangeable brush heads with the price around RM150.
Olay looks promising and with good brand reputation too. I can find lots of review from YouTube and seems that everyone is praising it and saying how amazing it is.

Else if you're just like me struggling to buy a correct cleansing system, I hope this post may give you some ideas on the brands that is much more affordable than Clarisonic!

Review: Garnier Light BB Instant Fairness BB Eye Roll-On

Before I found this Garnier Light BB Roll-On, I actually tried before on their other ptoducts which is the Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On and also Garnier Skin Natural Light Daily Moisturizer SPF15. I loved both of them of course.

Garnier Light BB Instant Fairness BB Eye Roll-On

I was already a fan of BB Cream and can say that I obsessed in it. But I have never heard of Eye Roll-On with BB Cream! So this baby caught my eyes on the rack at Watson (kind of Drugstore in my country). I thought I need it to cover up my dark circles or darker shades areas such as sides of nose and corners of lips. So here is my review after I've tried it a few times. If you'd like to know how I like it, then keep reading! ^^

My Garnier Light BB Instant Fairness BB Eye Roll-On

Gently roll the roller on your under eyes staring from inner corner of the eyes outwards. Dab it gently with fingers or makeup sponge, I personally like to use my finger to add more warmth to the product.

Swatch on my hand. If I am not wrong, it only comes in one shade and it suits me well thank God!

Right side with Garnier Light BB Roll-On: Brigher, more radiant and smooth compare to the Left side.

 Overall, it is a 2-in-1 tinted eye roll-on to brighten or conceal our eyes. It's also concentrated in mineral pigments and helps to cover our dark circles in a flash! It doesn't make my fine lines around eyes look clearer like other eye concealers. It gives me a soft and natural finish and it lasts long too. My eyes look fairer and radiant and no more tired eyes hehe! ^^

Pros:

- Quite pigmented and does its job as a eye concealer/ brightener. Definitely covered up my dark circles well.

- Not oily at all, not scented which already a yay for me!

- Suitable for weak/ sensitive skin especially on area around eyes as it's dermatologically tested.

Cons:

- I don't like that the BB cream might mess up the cap sometime. Normal for roller-type product.

Well no major complaints as it's really a decent and budget-friendly concealer! I hope you found this review helpful and please comment below if you have tried this before too or you want to recommend a greater product! ^^
